Helpful Advice for Maneuvering Around Sin City

Visitors to Las Vegas are quite often overwhelmed by the glitz and glamour that awaits them at every
turn. The sounds of slot machines can be heard from the insides of the casinos, walking billboards seek
to entice money laden patrons to come in and gamble at their table games, and the oversized flashy
billboards make it easy to quickly get disoriented. Add to this the fact that very often distances can
be deceiving, and it is not surprising that many a time visitors will seek to flag down cabs or simply
hop into their own cards in order to travel from casino to casino. This in turn may lead to frustration,
waiting times, and wrong turns, and more often

than not visitors become more antsy than relaxed.

To avoid the quagmire of being help up in Sin City, here are some tried and true tips on maneuvering
around this great gambling metropolis.

1.Rely on the Strip Trolley. For only $1.50 you will be able to mount this leisurely ride up and down
the Las Vegas Strip. There are many stops along the way, and the trolley will make its way down this
route from 9:30 in the morning until 2:00 the following morning.

2.Look up. There are now many bridges that are connecting several casinos. For example, from the
Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino you can make it to the Luxor and from there, to the Excalibur. A slight
change in direction will send you to the New York New York and MGM Grand. These overhead bridges will
allow you to avoid the hustle and bustle of the traffic below while at the same cut down your traveling
time tremendously.

3.Take the monorail. This lightning fast mode of transportation connects several others of the Strips
most famous casinos, such as the Monte Carlo to the Bellagio, and Treasure Island to the Mirage.

4.Take a cab. If all else fails, a cab is available in front of most major casinos and hotels, as well
as at designated cab stations on the Strip. Remember, however, that cabs will not be able to stop in the
midst of the Strip to pick you up!

5.If you must drive, give yourself a bit of extra time, simply to permit for parking. During peak times
the lines in and out of the parking garages of the casinos may be a bit longer. If you rely on valet
parking, the wait to get your car back will also need to be added. Generally speaking, unless you are
willing not to partake of the free drinks offered at the casinos, it is best to leave your car at the
hotel and not rely on it for transportation for a night on the town.

Probably the best solution to your transportation needs is a combination of all that Las Vegas has to
offer. After all, who wants to stay on and around the Las Vegas Strip all the time? There are many
charming sights and sounds away from the Strip that will at times require you to rely on your own
transportation. In these cases it is wise to have a good map of the city and outlying areas, as well as
a cell phone in case you get lost. Once you get to your location, utilizing the public transportation
that is available will permit you to do more sightseeing and less concentrating on the road. The result
will be an enjoyable road trip with memorable highlights here and there, as well as some unforgettable
time on the Las Vegas Strip itself. Remember to never drink and drive!
